Andrew Kim is a current undergrad at the University of Washington, pursuing both a Bachelor of Arts in Music Theory and a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering. Andrew believes every up-and-coming musician's goal should be to find the space and ability to create music with others, and he strives to encourage future generations to learn and appreciate the creation of music. To help facilitate these goals, he has taught local students in an effort to encourage the growth of school music programs and has coached various chamber groups at Edmonds-Woodway High School while in attendance. Additionally, he founded the "Lessons for All" program, which allows elementary school students who would otherwise be unable to experience lessons enjoy the benefits of being under a dedicated private teacher and reach beyond the standard curriculum.

In the past, Andrew has taken part in many musical experiences, including debuting at Benaroya Hall with the Cascade Youth Symphony, participating in All-State/All-Northwest groups throughout high school, and competing twice at the state Solo/Ensemble contest. The second year he competed in state Solo/Ensemble, he won second place with the 441 duo. Andrew also strives to contribute to the local music scene and assists with various musicals around the area, including Madrona Children’s Theatre and Driftwood Players productions. He currently plays a 1703 Matteo Gofriller cello, generously lent to him by the Carlsen Cello Foundation.
